None of the wheels I saw went on tacomas. Land cruisers. Not forum members. Edited to add. Ive seen f5s mounted and balanced with no issues, same with ray 10s.

If you make a big enough stink to the right person they should compensate you especially if they have before pics on their iPad... Replacing a $300 wheel in exchange for keeping a customer should be a no brainier for a service manager

My dealer fucked my new FN wheels. Made them refinish them. Took them 3 times to get them right.

Every time I see a post like this it makes me wonder why people take their vehicles to the dealerships to have any kind of work done.

I'm coming to the realization that all tire rotations will be done by me. The problem is what's going to happen when I buy new tires?

Dude I work at a CAT dealership and if the customer complains about something you better be a fuckin asshole or you're not getting anything. You need to be adamant and just keep on bothering them or the service manager will just try whatever they can to not spend 300 bucks

Where else are you going to take it? The trained and certified guys aren’t the ones doing oil changes or tire rotations/installations/alignments anywhere. The major chain tire store I worked at in college gave me a couple hours of on the job training following another tire/oil tech around to learn how to do it all before being put out on my own.

    This..

But here's the kicker... expect to pay for their time. I charge at least 40- 50$ to rotate tires if thats all you're asking for. If thats too much then i dont need to work on your car

Good luck OP. I had an issue with the dealership breaking a part while they were working on my truck and they tried to give it back to me without saying anything. They fake acted surprised but I called bs and it was replaced without issue. I would at least let them know.

I agree in theory but isn’t that what the dealers’ employees are supposed to be, ASE trained? They still screw up a lot, in my experience with them.

One time a dealer left a piece of paper in my truck.....I was so pissed. I mean the service guy littered in my truck. WTF. I made a scene in the service department in front of everyone. The dude said “ sir, that’s your invoice” but I wasn’t having it. Spoke to the owner, and now I own 51% of the dealership.

Don’t take no for an answer OP!!! They scratched your tires, and we all know rims are the most important part of the truck and are not meant to be scratched....EVER!!!

    Good luck!

Yeah, people actually think a dealship will baby their truck. Lol.

I mean if you gave your wife/girlfriend to some other dude for servicing, do you think she’d come back in perfect condition?
