Alright, my final post as we found the culprit to my problems.

We got the truck lifted and first thing first, was to double check the fluid level (remember, I had it flushed 3 weeks ago, and my initial concern was low fluid from the start of my dealership journey). Tech opened the check plug and only a time drop came out. (yes tranny was up to temp) He grabbed his hand pump and gave it fluid manually versus using the machine. Turns out, I was correct all along, and it was 2.5qts low of fluid. However because of this, actuators A and C was stuck in the off position. They replaced those and filled everything back to where it should be, reset the ecm on the tranny. ALL of the problems went away from that point.

The initial thought from the lead tech was that the tranny needed to be rebuilt/replaced. They did guarantee me that if the low fluid caused any damage or problems in a reasonable amount of time after today, they would replace the tranny. The tech that originally messed up on the flush was punished by docking his pay on the work and I didn't owe anything today.

Truck now shifts VERY smooth and there's no issues with rattling or any noise from the tranny. I think for now, the problem is solved!

(in the end, that's all that matters, right?)

That's great news OP. I would push for an extended warranty on the transmission though.

"lmao" I'm glad we didn't have to crack any bolts open and go further into the issue and it was a simple solution that I had a gut feeling was causing my problems to begin with 3 weeks ago. I'm happier with the outcome.

Wasn't your initial concern that the dealership did NOT perform the flush?

If the dealership did not perform a flush, according to you, then how does that equate to low fluid ?

Because they didn't perform it correctly. He hooked to a metal line behind the cooler and didn't top it off with the check plug open. Never touched the trans to top it off like he was suppose to. The machine puts in only what it removes. So I was initially low 2.5qts and he refilled it 2.5qts short.. So I was right the whole time.

So if the tech did the flush incorrectly and only replaced what he removed, 2.5qts, you have been low 2.5 qts all along. How is the flush the cause of the transmission problems you experienced? Or is the timing just coincidence? I can’t follow why the “flush” dealer would be on the hook to extend the warranty, seams like Toyota’s responsibility if they admitted it was low before the dealer flushed and replaced what they took out.

Go back and read all 9 pages and I explain what happened throughout everything. The problems happened after the flush.
