After reading through a number of threads on TSBs, recalls, warrant repairs (third brake light leak etc.) I thought maybe I would start a thread for folks that have had issues, and their dealership fixed the issues. No hassle, no diagnostic fees, no “your mod deleted the warranty”.
I know each experience could be unique but in my case my dealership has been nothing short of perfect. And I have had my fair share of issues with my early Baja build. (Still love the truck)
So if you have gotten good-exemplary service from your dealership, list it here so our fellow TW members save some time and aggravation by going directly to a dealership that will do the fix.

Santa Margarita Toyota, Orange County, CA.

This is a great idea. I purchased at Koch 33 in Pennsylvania. I'll definitely post after services, especially after I mod it.

Pretty good: Toyota of Lancaster, California. Typically will do the tsb I ask for, they usually ask what its doing so they can write down a "issue" but other than that service advisor is pretty good.

I bought my taco from santa margarita Toyota. Do you have a service advisor you recommend? I'm coming up on 10k and want to get the tsbs done also.

I went back to West Coast Toyota in Long Beach and found a guy I trust. Unfortunately he moved to a BMW dealership the next week. (He made sure TSB 58-18 and 62-18 were installed, didn't even question it.)

Cabe Long Beach, I don't have a great response with them.

Huntington Beach: I assume they have a great service due to them being a mecca of OVERLAND vehicles. I bitched to them about West Coast and Cabe, and HB toyota were pretty responsive over the phone.

Others have recommended Santa Margarita. Just to far for me.

best bet.... got to talk to the service advisors, they usually hook it up. Usually the knowledgable ones who know about TACOMAS are the best guys to talk to. Most "service advisors" who don't know anything about any of the TSBs or there company vehicles are difficult to talk to. All of them do not know this community exists...

I asked if they could do TSB 62 and they couldn’t because of it being VIN related. Just wondering if this is correct? The service writer and I get along good and I’m sure he was honest with me. He also stated once it is installed there is no going back.

For all Tacoma owners down in the mid-south, more specific; Harrison, Arkansas which is 30 miles south of Branson, MO. I deal with MAGNESS TOYOTA. Outstanding sales and service. These guys are sharp, no BS just honest techs that will help with any problems.
    No, I don't work there.

I'm not sure publicly naming dealers that flaunt Toyota's corporate policy is a great idea. It could have unintended consequences.

You may have a point. I think some dealerships will risk that to keep/make a happy customer. Toyota should be encouraging their dealerships to do the TSBs, after Toyota recently sending out a questionnaire specific to transmission problems. I would say corporate is aware customers were unhappy with the performance of the AC60F transmission in this truck. They should be doing everything they can to regain the trust of their customers.

Maybe I am looking at this wrong. Maybe the dealerships that are giving people a hard time are the ones that are busy, they have other work that nets them more money. They dealerships that are not giving any pushback have techs just standing around drinking coffee, so they need the business.

I've never had problems with my dealership and warranty work (Northridge, CA). Generally speaking, I do my homework first. I don't insist that a TSB applies to me -- instead, I try to understand my symptoms and describe them in the terms used by the TSB. If they don't seem like they have a clue, I'll just drop it into the conversation ("I think there's a service bulletin for this one. Maybe TSB-XXX?"). If you give them the courtesy of being the "expert" at their workplace, it goes a long way.

I was still hesitant to name-and-recommend mine, because i only go there for basic maintenance and warranty work. As long as they change the oil like they charged me, I'm happy with the service. But it's not a particularly high bar. I bought the truck from them (OR 2016, in late 2015) because they were the only dealership who would do the work of finding the truck I wanted. Everyone else wanted to sell me what was on their lot.

NOW, the Nissan Stealership in Woodland Hills is another case. That service department is all crooks. But that's a different story :)
