I work 80 hours a week. So does she. Usually somewhat non-overlapping hours.

So really, I just see her when it's time to fall asleep.

Her Aunt Flo only really impairs about 5 waking hours together. Which is sad we see each other that little.

Alright, at 49 with 22 yr old twins & no snippy snippy action for safety, I for one am glad to know it's happening, especially since the shit wifey takes makes it once every 3 months. Not wanting to start over at this point in my life. Been through all this so many times I just act as much a fool as she does during that time. Neither of us are going anywhere so might as well break even. WARNING - this is not a good approach with anyone you haven't been with for 20 yrs or more and have a fair amount of confidence in her still being there when it passes, lol. But in keeping with the thread with it predominently a monthly thing for all & not being together for a coupla decades or more, I'd say make yourself scarce as possible & don't throw gas on the fire. As far as doing anything you can to keep her content, you'll be the one acting like it's your time of the month trying to complete that impossible mission all going out back screaming & pulling your hair out just to keep the "peace"? "piece"? Good luck, 1 thing doesn't work for all. You must find what works best for you in your particular situation.

Ok, a few exceptions. ;) You're a good man and your wife is lucky. Have you weathered complete HELL (menopause) yet??

My husband is a sweetheart and I'm on meds (laugh) so that helps (from what I've heard). Havne't approached HELL yet....He's not looking forward to it and neither am I!!

    What a lovely subject....(laugh)

    I don't have a monthly period and haven't had one in the past 8 years (I'm 28).
So....I have no emotional roller coaster every month and I'm never an emotional wreck. My bf does not complain about my emotions, he is more emotional than I am ;) and I deal with him by just listening to him b!tch, saying 'I understand' a lot, or just leaving him to stew by himself. Everyone has bad days every once in awhile.

To the OP, have you tried asking your GF what she would like you to do to help her deal with her emotions during that time?? If its really bad has she talked to her doc about it and maybe get some meds?

Depo shot...It is a very lovely thing for me, 1 shot every 3 months and no period at all. I have had no side effects in 8 years.
