Just a quick note of thanks after I've just spilled my 30th cup of coffee on my grey seats. I can't help but wonder if my load carrying capacity should be reduced due to the extra weight being retained in the seats.

I'm wondering how a "real" coffee cup, you know the kind of mug that you just jump in the truck on a Sunday morning and head up to the store with? how is this suppose to fit in the small round hole between the seats ? you know the hole, the one that just may be the proper diameter to hold a sippi cup. Also, who came up with the idea to make the surface surrounding the hole so slick even Bill Clinton would be jealous ? I think I'm going to take a frigging grinder to the surface surrounding the hole to give it some grip.

I know, I know, I should not be placing my mug on the slick area behind the hole because there are two other "cup" holders in front of the shifter, but I'd greatly appreciate if you could locate a mug where the handle is on the top 1/3 of the mug so it sits level. If you could find such a mug I'd be your biggest fan or maybe for 2012 a brown seat option to hide the stains :) ?

    I've had a 4Runner and a 95' Tacoma so I know you have the technology !!!

I have a coffee cup that fits in the cup holder, not sure if it's "foo foo" but it's better than 30 spilled cups of coffee on my seat.

    Did you have another spill?:annoyed:

Wait, I think I hear Toyota now..."Put your da#$ coffee in a sippi cup and it'll fit perfectly between the console and seat! You said so yourself! And get the tan interior next time, add some creamer to your coffee, and the spills should match up almost exactly!"...or maybe that was just my subconscious talking.

Really? You created a post to complain about the cupholder design and admit that you've spilled 30 cups?! Have you considered getting a $10 coffee cup that works with your $30K truck's cupholders? If you think these suck, take a gander @ BMW cupholders...

I use that one for holding my change.

The front two I put my wawa paper cup in...I'm not all suburban cowboy (yet) with a special mug with a fancy handle thing, so I gotta use the cups they provide. It slips in there slick as Will...well..you know who.

The travel mug I use fits perfectly. But, when that's dirty and I don't feel like washing..I have one of these ceramic mugs that I use:

because of the shape of the handle, it fits snug. I have never spilled coffee. Only beer :anonymous:
