Had a casualty today doing a little off pavement driving... luckily they're only $25 a pair! Seriously just thought I would share this to show that it ripped pretty easily without causing any excess damage to the wheel well or fender liner. Which is one of the benefits of the softer rubber/fiberglass mudflap.

Yep if only the factory lift and tires were a little bit larger...wouldn't have pinched and torn ;)

Thankful I didn't pay $100 for Toyota's crappy OEM flaps.

I bet the OEM wouldn't of torn though! Might of lost the whole bumper, but they probably wouldn't of torn

Did you hear any unusual noises while idling along the trail?

    Does flexing void suspension warranty?

Were any codes set via the TPMS during the mishap?

Can you claim it on insurance, since it's not a warranty item?

Who was the vendor you bought that junk from? I'd call them out right here on the intrawebs.

Toyota wanted me to tell you smitty that your not allowed to take your Tacoma off-road. Doing so you just voided and and all remaining factory warranty

No but I did consider leaving it in neutral and letting it roll off the side of one of the canyons....

Confident that would solve the driveline vibrations, rear end howling, shaking hood and squeaking leaf springs.

I was hoping my CPS sensor would finally take a shit so I could get Toyota to pay for replacement. I did smell some transmission fluid cooking when I was out there.

Nope. Leaf springs would still squeak everytime there was a breeze at the bottom of the canyon.

I haven't had mud flaps on my '00
since the first one got ripped off back in '03

Think those are designed for city dwellers and on road travel only. Lol

Have the steering wheel vibrations increased or decreased after the removal of the mudflap? :)

Check the transmission fluid. Some 3rd Gen owners are saying their Trans fluid was low from the factory.
