    Thanks Smitty. I wondered about the failure mode for these flaps.

    I have the same Plasticolor mudflaps for two reasons:

    1. The stock (or similar) units will get destroyed when you drop off a rock and may take some truck parts with them.
    2. I consider them a "wear" items that will be destroyed at some point when I back over a rock and they get pinched.

    The mudflaps on my 1st gen would pop off and could be reattached with no damage - that was the best setup.

    I only run mudflaps so I don't put a rock through my buddy's windshield. These cheap units look cheap, but I like to think of them looking "purposeful".

    Also, I have a civilian job, but we operate under a federal license. No weed for us, even with a medical card.
