Mario keeps telling about the trip. I've been meaning to make it out there on my own but don't really know the area so I don't wana get lost

 

If you don't join us. Go with 1 or 2 other trucks and be welll supplied (tools, too much food, too much gas, too much water and a very good share or patience and smarts) and you will be fine.

 

If not this one I'm down to go later next year

 

Things have definitely changed after yesterday's storm.
Snow all the way south along the Eastern Sierra. Fossil Falls has snow. Inyos, Panamints, and everything in between are coated. North and South passes into Saline are out. We tried South Pass today and the snow was knee deep as the road climbs out of Lee Flats. Darwin covered in snow. It's a great time to see Death Valley but not easy to get to Saline if that is your goal.

The amount of snow is nuts! Thanks for the pics. It rained, hailed and we had some lightening and thunder down in San Diego.

 

Indeed! Owens Valley is covered down to Alabama Hills. This storm must have been huge to reach from Mammoth to San Diego. Good times! Turned out to be a great trip with new sights seen. Working on a report now. Most of the best pics are already here though.

 

Budbuilt skis, oops skids, lockers and 4 Rudd chains and it may be tamed.

 

When are you heading to try this experiment?


BTW PSR is already full for campsites on turkey day. Overflow tent sites may be available.

 

Like to wheel out on Wednesday o'dark. Gonna do axles, brakes and may have a bearing or U-joint to do before then. You still in?

Nothing like being able to damned near take off and land while flying backwards
