Just came back from a short overnighter. Saline valley to Hunter Mountain and slept on Racetrack Overlook. I was planning on a two night trip but the wind that night was crazy. It was my first time in the park with the Tacoma but not the last. Glad I picked up an annual pass because I will be back for sure. (And thats not a fire in the pit BTW. Just my electric lantern on the red setting)

Try the Inn? My favorite place when we’re ‘roughing it’, but camping is awesomer!

Glad you enjoyed it!! The place is huge!!! I spent almost a week there and it still wasn’t enough. I experienced the crazy wind of DV too!

Yes there was a gas station there. Internet says last time there was gas was probably 2006. I recall seeing signage in the park for it in '07

    Just the basics
I saw that earlier this week on SPA. He looks familiar.

I was near Saline last weekend. Camped at higher altitudes. Temps were perfect but it was windy. Saw traffic in and out of the valley.

Just watched “the gods must be crazy” on Hulu with the kids.

It’s fun sharing movies I enjoyed back when I was their age...

Oops sorry guys. That was for the Netflix thread. A little crossed eyed forum-inch last night I guess.

    Fun movie!

    It's OK man.

As soon as I get my Starlink internet we should go watch The God's Must Be Crazy on Netflix in Death Valley. lol

Speaking about Starlink, I saw four trains last Friday evening. The first one was cool...but the other three were annoying and got me thinking about new "light pollution" in the night skies. Not a fan.

Since Starlink is allergic to trees I guess Death Valley would be a good place to use it...
