I have a terrible wobble. It happens randomly and doesn't go away until I come to a complete stop. I have replaced u joints, carrier bearing, checked my ball joints. I have warped rotors but I don't think they could cause a wobble like this.

Is 'death wobble' a technical term? o_O

Can you give more description of what you are feeling?

You say 'random', but is it? Or does it start under specific conditions every time?

Death wobble blows. Typically when you hit a bump or dip in the road the front wheels begin to oscillate back and forth like crazy and get worse as you go. You can't fight it. Only way to stop it is to drastically slow down or come to complete stop. YouTube it. I have seen tires cause this. How's steering?

This Death Wobble is felt in the steering wheel? The lug nuts are tight, Right? I'd be changing out the rotors

Could be a wheel bearing but you may feel a wobble consistently.

I had this on my jeep only once my tires got super worn. Maybe new tires will fix or, if your tires are good, get them a fresh balance.

I had my tires rotated and balanced and they are basically new. Checked all the wheel bearings. It's not just a wobble in the steering wheel it shakes the whole truck I can't even read the clock when when it starts shaking. It happens at freeway speeds after going over a bump in the road or a bridge.

i would replace the rotors before stretching into all the above.

it's known on 3rd gen t4r's that bad rotors give a death wobble.

Line-X, LED Gauges, Bluetooth Stereo, TracRac, OME 2.5 Lift, Relentless Fab rear bumper, Shrockworks front. Bleh. So much good stuff.
What does "basically new" mean with the tires? Is there a chance they were sitting on a truck unused for a long time? Flat spots on the tires could cause this, which develop if a car isn't moved for a long time. 1 year+

When you said tie rods were checked, did that include the steering box as well? Verify the steering box is tight just to be safe.

Mine does it in the rear end but it doesn't last too long.

Death wobble is in the suspension. It starts to oscillate and the wheels can even come off of the road in extreme cases. Usually starts after hitting a bump

Not sure what causes it but jeeps get it alot

Go to 30 seconds in to see death wobble
