Yeah but at 600lbs over stock right now in the back now, they still ride a little high and stiff. Just going to add more weight. Lol

Accutune said deaver underestimates, and stage 1s are more for up to 600

Kinda why I was asking if stage 1 was gonna be okay for someone who doesn’t have a whole lot of constant weight in the back…like >150lbs

If you are on the fence I would recommend going down a stage and not up, and i think stage 1 is good down to stock weight although i have never had less than 100 in back.

I would look at a different pack, probably.

Any that you reccomend? I carry a box that’s about 80-100lbs. Very occasionally carry my motorcycle, and some camping trips where my wife and I are sleeping in the back. Other than that it’s usually pretty light in the back.

I have read good things about the rxt pack, it's adjustable based on how much you carry. I only went with the deavers because of the camper...

yep I went by that also. With my topper etc I was right at their upper end of stage 1. So I opted to go stage 2 to error on the side of caution.

I don’t regret anything. Just cost me a little extra work removing a leaf. But now if I change my truck or do anything to drastically alter the weight I am covered by sticking that leaf back in.

I would disagree. My stage IIs struggled at the 600lb mark and ultimately went to Stage III as they would sag

I have about 750 pounds of constant weight and I've questioned the ability of my stage IIIs to handle 1,000.

Well ignore what I said. I have 400ish on the back and I think my truck handles it fine.

Stage II has been great for me, even when I was in-between setups and the bed was relatively empty.

Loaded for a trip I'm probably ~500lb + whatever the rear bumper and leverage the swingout/tire contribute...

    GFC - 250lb
    Water - ~60lb
    HighLift/Shovel/Axe - ~40lb
    Fridge (unloaded) - ~40lb
    Build out (???) = ~60lb?
    Random camp/kitchen gear (???) = ~50lb?

= ~500 with some fudging and then add some more for the swingout etc...

Probably safe to say I'm at the upper advertised limit for Stage II and it's been great.

I really like how you have your bed setup. I have drawers that I have a love/hate relationship with that I'm always thinking of getting rid of.

How do you access the front runner box on the right with the fridge slide there?

The bench is on hinges and I keep recovery gear in that box, so when things are going well it's the least frequently accessed.

Gotcha. And how did you mount the fridge slide to the bed? I'm not sure if I would do a bolt and nut from beneath or use something like rivnuts so I could remove it easily if I needed to.

There's a 15/32 sheathing plywood I cut into the L shape you can imagine the bench and slide make. It's attached to the bed via 3 of the bed bolts that go to the frame. They have a ton of extra thread and length. The fridge slide is just mounted to this plywood.

Before this setup I had the slide mounted to a piece of plywood approximately the same size as the slide, and to mount that to the bed I drilled 5 holes in the bed and used a bolt and nut, but in addition to the nut underneath I cut some 1" steel flatbar into ~2" sections and used that to create additional surface area for the washer and nut.

I have stage 3 and weight 5800-5900 loaded for a 5 day trip and I like the ride loaded and unloaded.
