Thanks for the response. Seems like the 2nd setting would be a good height unloaded (slightly loaded) but would be seriously sagging when you have the 700 lbs on them. I'm very interested in the full RXT pack under a load. Seems like a viable option to Epos, Dakars and Deaver.
I don't run the tent full time as well but have a swingout on the way, that and spare is ~200 lbs, bed bars ~50 lbs. So with the tent ~450 lbs plus skids, sliders, roof rack, HL etc. Loaded for camping ~7-800 lbs depending on extra fuel and water.
That's the problem with outfitting and spring selection. I can't have it both ways loaded vs. unloaded ride height and ride. I know I'm going to go with with a heavy leaf pack just not sure which one yet. I do prefer a little rake. To me the Tacoma sitting level still looks like it's squatting. I'm even considering some sand bags in the back when not loaded for camping lol. I am setting this up for full load though and will have to find a way to deal with unloaded/constant load ride height.
The truck is becoming a fat pig! Most everything you do does nothing but add weight.
    First world problems...

So in the second setting, the rear sits slightly higher than the front -- note that up front I am running 700# springs with about an inch of preload, so it's sitting pretty high as is. I can say that fully loaded, those springs sag about a half inch, well a little less actually. But the on-road ride unloaded is actually very smooth, comfortable and controlled. It truly is a very impressive leaf pack, Icon surely did their homework when developing them and it shows in their performance. I just took another trip up to CO over the weekend which was the first time I really got to flex out the springs and again, was extremely impressed with the amount of flex, while still providing a nice smooth ride in the chunky shit.

Here's some flex pics of the springs in the second config as well as a profile to give you an idea of height

That's impressive. The profile/stance (and you truck) look great! Is that with minimal load?

I'm questioning now what Icon is stating on these packs. I know each truck is different but after seeing your pics and statement of a little less than 1/2" sag with 700 lbs.

    Per Icon?
    Option 2 - 2.25 of lift over stock, 1.75 with 200 lbs
    Option 3 - 2.625 OS, 1.125 with 600lbs

Have your packs settled at all since install?

Thats just got my RTIC 45 full of beer, some recovery gear and some other odds and ends, so yeah, just minimal load. I ran the springs in the base setting for a few weeks, and did two fully loaded trips with them to break them in, then I changed them to the 2nd config, so they are reasonably broken in, but may settle a little more? in which case I can go up to the 3rd config if need be. That's one of the things I like most about these springs, the ability to reconfigure them as needed. Aside from that, I did come from u402's which I loved and thought couldn't be beat, however these RXT's are impressing the hell out of me and in the second configuration sag less than the 402's did.

What is reconfiguring? Do you pull/add leafs or what?

Correct. Icon provides a full length AAL. So you can run the springs in 3 different ways. Base - no AAl.. 2nd - replace the 3rd leaf with the provided AAL.. 3rd configuration, add the 3rd leaf back in, as well as the provided AAL. Really allows you to fine tune your springs specifically to your needs.

Well that's saying a lot. Your 402's were standard I'm gathering?
Gotta say after your sharing and experience with these I think the RXT's just moved to the top of my list for leaf packs. Thanks for all your insight.

Happy to help man. You are correct, the Deavers were the standard u402's and dont get me wrong, they were and are outstanding springs. I had an opportunity to try these Icon's so I figured why not and can say that I am glad that I made the switch. I am always running the new RXT shocks with them as well to take full advantage of the additional droop and bump. Really a great system they came up with.

An added side note, these things are quiet too. After several mud baths, desert wheeling, rain and highway miles, they don't make any noise at all.

Wicked, is it a lot of work to swap out leafs (do I have to remove the whole pack? :)).

My dakars have turned into a symphony, it's quite unenjoyable and I'm excited to hear about these.

Not at all. Took me about 30 to 45 minutes and is easily doable with the springs on the truck.

My biggest decision was that the deaver's keep the 3" lift roughly with constant load of 500-700 lbs which is big for me as I drive daily with an added 500ish lbs and then loaded up would be right around the max mark of 700 lbs

Just took my deavers (u402) on forest service roads. Pretty cushy. Not a peep or squeak. Mine are paired up to timbrens bump stops. Maybe this should be under general suspension info and not third gen since they should fit both the same. I was a little worried spending $$$ without a test drive, but that seems to be the way with a lot of after market parts. For anyone about there on the fence, these are worth it. I can't speak for any other set up than stock springs w/ AAL from icon. Night and day folks.

I was a little surprised at the ambivalent comments on here about the timbren bumps. They are pricey, but they sure soak up the hard landings.

Compared to hydraulic bumpstop the timbren set up is a steal!

Question, what is the downside to running Deaver's U402 without having constant weight in the back? I have King 2.5 and Camburg UCA coming my way, last piece to my puzzle is a leaf pack. I haul my motorcycle and some light camping gear a few times a month. The truck is parked during the week, use it on weekends only. When I do use it, I'm usually racing through the desert more than trail wheeling and etc. Looking for something that can handle high speed when out in the desert, comfortable for when I take my lady out and be able to hold up my track bike. U402 the one I'm looking for or no?
