    Hey Gents,
I just made the upgrade to my front suspension with Total Chaos UCA, Fox Shox with the remote DSC reservoirs and replaced all my factory joints with new Genuine Toyota Parts. I replaced the rear shocks with Fox Shox 2.0 but kept the stock leaf springs.
I was thinking about replacing the stock leaf springs with a Deaver +1" lift. I don't do much off roading, but only to get to a "off the grid" campsite. I hear good things about Deavers on how soft the ride is on the street. I want a smoother ride on the street since my truck is my daily driver but also have capability to off-road.

I'm sure someone here has Deavers or has experience with them. I want to know how the ride quality is on and off road and is it worth buying and replacing the stock leafs?

Also, If anyone has a recommended website so I can compare pricing, that would be awesome.

    Thanks, Lou (2004Taco)

I have some Deaver J59's on mine that I bought used from another member here on the Forum. Before I had an Icon 3 Leaf AAL with the stock springs. I feel like it made the ride more absorptive. Soaks up things better than before. They don't hold a bunch of weight though. So depending on how much camping gear you pack up, they may not be enough for what you do. If you're not adding to much weight in back on trips, you should be fine. Check out Wheelersoffroad. They have a little better pricing on Deaver springs, IMO. They also have their own leafs too, one is a pack similar to the Deaver and the other is a 5 Leaf pack that has an overload leaf as well to carry more weight. I ran those 5 leafs on one of my other Tacomas years back and was pretty happy with them. A little firm on the street but hauled weight well. IDK how close Downsouthmotorsports is to you, but you may be able to order and pick up to save on shipping if that is convenient.

Boostedka, Thanks for the reply. I don't haul much in the bed so I'm not worried about the weight. I have a 2006 Tundra that I use for heavy hauling. I'm looking for comfort both on and off the road. I'll check on the websites.

SOunds like you'll probably like the Deavers then. I really like mine so far. I was originally using them with 5100's and I recently switched to Icon 2.0's and they ride smoother now

    Boostedka,
I spoke with Jeff from Deaver and he wanted me to do a few test. He wanted me to jump on my rear bumper up and down with my new Fox 2.0 shocks and then un-bolt my stock and jump again on my bumper. Compare the bounce from the two and see if it's my shocks and not my leafs that cause my stiff ride.
I live in LA and our freeways are horrible, it's like driving on a washboard. I want to smooth out that ride. Do you ever have that "washboard" ride with the new shocks and leafs?

I've never done that test but I definitely don't get wash board-ed driving around

If you go with the deavers prepared to be ass high fo a bit.i was hopping for only a inch but its more like 3.
But their pretty awsome compared to the stock springs. No more harsh bottoming out. They do ride a little firm but in a good way. The anti wrap is pretty cool . I have to be careful starting off in a turn becouse it makes the tires chirp if your to hard on the throttle.
