HI all-im sure this subject has been beat to death already but i need some help. 2017 TRD pro with King's (mids) , 285 tires and a Deaver stage 2 leaf spring. Body mount is chopped but after looking at the install, The shop that installed the Kings has the fronts at just over the factory recommended 7/8" preload. IN any event, the back is sitting 2-2 1/.2" higher that the front. I have a CBI high clearance bumper with gates for jack and spare tire and its still high. I found out i need to change my front caster to 3.7 to 4.0 to help move front tire away from body, but the new leaf springs are pushing the front down-coupled with the preload being already maxed, i need to fix this. So, i have options-remove the factory leaf spring shackle mounting in rear and replace with the kit and longer shackles, buy 700lb front coils or go with a coil spacer and then reduce the preload. The other question i have is the confusion on coil spacers- i understand that there is the geometry on the LCA which makes a 1/2" spacer a 1" of lift? A 1" spacer 2" lift etc. is this correct? Thaks in advance

Some people say leaf springs don't settle, but I and my buddy who both run heavy duty Deavers say they do. I'm running the Stage 3 and I'd say it took 3-6 months for them to settle down a bit in the rear. How much weight are you actually hauling regularly? Stage 2 is rated for 2 inches of lift with 400-600 pounds of extra weight. If you don't have 600 pounds in right now, I wouldn't be surprised if you have closer to 4 inches of lift.

Ya...with the bumper, spare, jack and accessories figure just under 300lbs...like maybe 270 area. I do carry a dirt bike once in awhile, but other than that...no extra weight

I got a set of used stage 3 leafs. I think I've calculated my rear weight as it sits, around 650lbs. 275 for the GFC, 320 for rear bumper/swingout with tire, and misc in the bed. I also have 285s. Also note, my front flares are trimmed 2". I want to add more weight but also want to stay light. Its always a tradeoff

Yup...I have about the same stance...with out your weight of course. I don't like how it seems to load the front so much

My stage 3 only gets down to stock height when I haul my camper AND have 450 pounds of tongue weight. Which, BTW, is an ungodly amount of weight for a Taco, lol.
