Those are my next leaf springs to purchase if I don't go custom; I don't carry loads etc. so naturally I went with a leaf pack comparable to that of the stock setup (Dakars).

I've read that the Deavers are supposed to provide better flex, and since they're not meant to carry much at all, help to ride smoother with upgraded shocks. Rear shock relocation will get the most out of them.

I'm going with custom built Alcans next time around, but I need something that holds weight well. I hear the J59s ride great so long as you don't plan on putting weight in the bed

That's where I'm at and why I haven't bothered with anything else other than the Dakar's.

Deaver's, or customs will run you $750+, and a lot of us are either not done with our truck, or constantly changing things which changes the weight/characteristics of our truck.

How much extra weight are you putting on yours now?

About 250lbs day to day but when wheeling or camping thats another 300lbs or more depending on the trip.

I have Expos now and they're stiff, clunk like crazy and surprisingly still sag some when fully loaded. I thought Expos were supposed to hold a lot of weight. I had Dakars too previously but even with an AAL they would nearly ride on the bumpstops fully loaded

Someone else on here told me they got Alcans a couple years ago and they were $630, not including shipping though

About the most that I will ever haul is a load of wood or mulch around the yard or to the dump. I'm not sure how much it weighed -- maybe 400 lbs.

It didn't bother the stock suspension.

I fvcked up and got the j-6 something my ass sticks so high in the air people call my truck Kardashian. I had to max the lift on the front and still have rake!, for years these leafs have not settled, so out comes the middle leaf when I have time.

How many leaves do yours have? I see a couple of different J-6 models.

Did the General HD with 5100s. Also did the adjustable Bilstein up front maxed out 2in with new coils. Did a measuring stick to the top of wheel well before an after. Found the truck for my son $5500 manual 1 owner
family. 235k miles springs and shocks were shot as were the tires.

I have Deaver J59's and Bilstein 5100's and I love them. They're awesome on and off-road. They're 1000 times better than add a leaf. I highly recommend them. If you have more questions, call the owners at Deaver, those guys are super helpful.
