Anyone have any tips or tricks to remove the outline from the old badge.

Polishing wheel and something with grit and pumice. You may have luck by hand. If you’re feeling risky, brake parts cleaner and a micro be sure to wax/seal. GooGone seems popular. I didn’t particularly have great luck with GG but my badges were not new either. If you Google “tacoma world debadge ghosting” , there should be a magnitude of solid suggestions in there too! Best of luck! I think the trucks look better without them.

I’m using a eraser wheel on them and fishing line and it’s coming off easy in the Texas heat. I really didn’t know the term for it. I have one badge that’s going to be different so that’s the one I’ll dig my da out and compounds this helps.

Some fine polishing cream should do the trick. Something like Meguiars Scratch X.

I used WD40, a sponge, and anger. Got it done after awhile.

Did the full rebadge last month... I used:

    1) fishing line
    2) low heat gun, my finger, and a rubber glove (kinky, I know)
    3) goo gone (worked a bit)
    4) Mcguires Ultimate Compound (this worked great!) https://www.meguiars.com/automotive/products/meguiars-ultimate-compound-g17216-152-oz-liquid
    5) Mcguires wax

The ultimate compound is the shit...

ETA: I pulled the badges off a 2014, 7 year old pickup, the blend is perfect, can't tell where the badges were located. I have a set of black badges but I like the look for now.

I got it done goo gone was worthless. I hit it with my DA and some medium grit compound and it cleaned it off. Threw some wax on the spot afterwards.

Just swapped my original chrome ones out for black this afternoon. Isopropyl alcohol, a shop towel, and elbow grease.
