    Just throwing out my opinion again. I think wet sanding and/or compound is way too much. Just polish...truthfully acetone will take that off but polish is better for your finish. Good luck OP

    Question, how long have you had the truck before you decided to remove the decal?

    I have an MGM and park outside so I'm afraid mine will look worse

    I had the same issue and just waxed and buffed it twice and its totally gone.

    Agreed. The general rule is to start with the least abrasive (finishing) polish. Heavy compounds or wet sanding may be necessary but I wouldn’t start there. I learned this lesson the hard way.

    All, really good insight. Should maybe have this conventional wisdom collected in some kind of general detailing/exterior maintenance thread.

    Been doing this for 30 plus years. A little nibbing on the finish and polish. I didn't even say compund and if someone knowing what they were talking about compound never came into the process. You want it to never come back this is the way to do it. The professional right way, oh 13 micron is like paper, barley any grit.
