If you park it in the garage for 10 years, driving it one or two sunny days, with the hopes of selling it as an uber low mile all original garage queen, all 11 of the interested buyers will care.

If you use the truck, as a truck, for 100k or more miles, 5 out of the 997 interested buyers will care.

Instead of fretting, put them, and any other original stuff you take off, in a box in the attic, and pass it on if and when you sell the truck.

Personally I think rebadging or plastic dipping badges looks like heck. IMO, it cheapens the look. Im also not fond of trucks with black wheels, leave mine shiny. I'm an old guy, I still like chrome so don't mind me. I do however get a charge out of these guys who just have to change things just because they want to change things. Some of these guys would mod a dash mounted PEZ dispenser...lol.

I don't debadge, don't understand why anyone would do that.
It just comes down to this, it's your truck, if it's what you want to do then go for it.

I debadged mine. They seemed to hold dirt and gunk and it looks cleaner without the plastic emblems. I did add vinyl Toyota letters like the old school trucks. Not worried about resale. Doubt if it'd hurt it at all imho. Word to the wise, wd-40 is the perfect adhesion remover. Doesn't hurt paint and takes the residue off super easy.

For real! I see guys listing mods as being stickers they put on their windows. I did some mods last weekend too, I took it out and WHEELED it. Skid plate, slider scrape mod.

I debadged my last 3 vehicles. I personally like the cleaner no-chrome look and it makes washing and waxing way easier. It all comes down to personal choice and when I traded the vehicle in, the dealer didn't give 2 shits about the emblems.

I had the dealer pull the stickers off in the lot before they detailed it. I pulled the badges off two days after. For me I like the cleaner look, ease of washing and waxing.

I always debadge. I like the clean look and it's much easier to wash and wax. I tell dealers to remove any of their advertising stickers or badges before I take delivery. Funny story. One dealer tried to convince me to leave it on because one time, one of his salesmen saw a car with their sticker stuck on the side of the road and stopped to help. Take it off or no sale.

The MGM is a great color, I looked at that for a long while before deciding on the Pyrite. If They had one on the lot at the time of sale it would of been a hard choice. It is always great to get the little ones in on the wrenching LOL

Wish I could have thrown together an "off brand" Tacoma in my garage - save me a bundle of dough - lol

Funny as I was just looking for my double sided tape to put mine back on. I will leave the side Tacoma's off but the tailgate looks so plain with no badges. I have had mine off for months, but now I want them back on.

I always get a good laugh when I see a prerunner that has removed the prerunner badge.

Ya know, if that salesman was a decent person he would stop and help regardless of what kind of sticker that unfortunate person had on their vehicle or where they bought the damn thing.
