Blacked out. Looks too bland debadged, IMO.

Bug and tar remover did nothing for me (I tried it as well). Goo-Gone worked perfectly though afterwards

I know I'm probably in the minority here but I think the trucks look too naked if completely debadged. I painted my emblems satin black and am happy with the look. I guess though this is a matter of taste and also depends on what colour truck you have. I think the white trucks look awesome with black badging, but I've seen some black trucks that look really good debadged. Not too hard to try both ways though and see which one you like the most.

For the guys asking about how to get the sticky stuff off the truck after removing badges.... WD40, goo gone & windex all seem to work well. A little heat with a hair dryer will also help speed things up a bit.

I have had mine debadged and blacked out when I had black rims for a couple of weeks. Once I refinished my stock rims I decided to paint my rear emblems. I used the Toyota Duplicolor paint that I touched up my rims with after the tire shop removed the weights and added some more scrapes. I think I prefer it to the black, too common, and the debadged, a little too plain.

I did a lil of both. I debadged the sides, took the Toyota off the tailgate, removed the "ma" from Tacoma (you'll see why lol) and left the V6 (because I came from a 4cyl and I'm proud of my V6 lol), then added a 4wd emblem from a earlier Toyota and Derp'd them all.

I had all of mine dipped but I recently took off the tailgate badges and left the dipped "tacoma" badges on the side. I will probably take those off too though when I get the time.

    nothing cool
Took the side "Tacoma" emblems off right away. Couldn't stand those. Tailgate has the Toyota and a red TRD emblem. Left the vinyl TX TRD emblems on. But after seeing the TRD Pro with nothing on the bed it looks so clean. Might take it off some day.
