I just bought this exact model in December, except mine has the convenience package. Mine was basically a little less than 27k out the door in MD. I'm not much of a haggler though.

I'm really digging it, I like it better than my 98 Ford ranger and my 2004 Tacoma (both base models with manual transmission so those were only like 12k brand new).

I would definitely recommend it if it suits your needs.

Well guys. I just ordered it. They got me down to $24,000 before tax/licensing. I am excited. It's being built for me and I should receive it in about 1-2 months.

Are your trucks made in Baja California or Texas?

Nice. Also interested in knowing the color you chose.
I'm happy to say mine is also from Texas.

I'm a new 2017 SR owner. Have previously had 1994 truck, 2001 Taco, 2004 Taco, 2012 Taco. All have been 4 cyl manual and all but the '94 were extended cabs.

I'm happy. If you know what you are getting into (and it sounds like you do) then the 4 cyl Taco is a great, proven truck. I have no issues or concerns with "weird brakes", howling noises, etc. The truck is basically just a refreshed version of the ones I've owned and I see no reason why it won't be just as good as them.

I don't reasonably think you are going to be able to get a deal below MSRP on the SR utility, I mean, $24,900 (ish) doesn't leave a lot of room to negotiate.

Paid just over $25,000 out the door and traded in my paid off 2015 Chevy Colorado that I got $22,000 as trade in.

Mind if I ask where you ended up getting it? I feel I am about a month or two behind you in the process.

I went with black, my reasoning in choosing black is because I am unaware of what adding an aftermarket bumper will do to the warranty on these new trucks. I figured I would save $1,700 getting unpainted front bumper and with the money saved get a really badass bumper for free. I plan on adding an arb summit (my favorite so far) winch bumper but if it voids warranty due to airbags I will have to keep the unpainted bumpers.

If they void the warranty, I think if built right the unpainted bumpers could look tough in black if you got unpainted fender flares and the right wheels/tires.

Good to know access cabs are all made in Texas. I know that feeling, I asked the dealership if I could choose what plant it was built at and they said no.

I cannot wait to get it.

Does anybody have a definitive answer on what aftermarket parts will void our warranty's?

I asked if l could choose the plant too and got the same answer you did.
