I am about to pull the trigger soon on a new set of tires and I currently have 275/70 r17 and I want a bigger look but don't want to go 285 cause I don't want to chop cab mount and have the MPG go down even more lol I was considering a 255/80 r17 the only thing is I have a 17x9 inch rim and I'm not sure how well the 255 would fit on the rim. if anyone has pics or has had experiences with these sizes with a 3 inch lift id love to have some tips and opinions, also ive narrowed it down between these 2 tires. Which would you guys go with?

Hey there. The two links are the same, so it shows two Open Country RT tires.

The best way to figure out if the tire will be okay on a 9” wide, is to go on the manufacturer’s website and look at their tire info. They’ll usually have the recommended tire width.

    Good luck.
