So what we've learned here is:
    - A gun sticker might encourage people to break in to your vehicle.
    - A gun sticker might deter people from breaking in to your vehicle.
    - If you want a gun sticker on your vehicle, put one.
    - If you don't want a gun sticker on your vehicle, don't put one.

Even if the civilians wore vest, military and such are trained to shoot for the head anyway!

I have carried both open and concealed. I do prefer to carry concealed. No need to advertise that direct, plus you never know who may walk up behind you. And I do see both sides of the decal posts. One thing I do feel does work as far as advertising goes. Was when I took my CCW class about 5 years ago we had to spend a few hours at the gun range. When finished the instructor told us to roll up our qualifying targets (human silhouettes) and take them home and put them up on one of our garage walls. He said works quite well at detouring people who may want to sneak in and do bad things. I took his word for it. After all he was the Sheriff (retired) of a nearby county for almost 25 years.

Things must have changed since I was in the Army a few years back. We were trained to shoot center mass.
    Time marches on. Oh well........

I'm speaking more specialty shooters\long-distance shooters. (snipers\marksma) . I believe GIs are still trained
    center mass.

As far as gun stickers being a deterrent...o_O. I can think of numerous examples every year of marked police vehicles being broken into and having firearms and/or body armor stolen.

Gangs in certain areas have been identified as specifically targeting LE vehicles to acquire guns.

Do what you want, just please don't leave guns in those vehicles to be stolen.

You'd be surprised. They're going to target who they think has the most valuable stuff to steal. Do you have any idea what a black market gun with clean history goes for?? A lot more than sippy cups, diapers, and whatever else you're going to find in a "stick figure car" lol.

It comes up all the time on Reddit AMAs with former burglars or TV shows that interview convicts. One of the most interesting things is putting any pro-gun sticker on your house makes it a target for burglars, not a deterrent (they're planning on breaking in when you're not home anyways).

When they look at that NRA sticker they don't get scared, they see easy $$$$. If its true for your house its likely also true for your car.

Same goes for those empty computer, television, etc boxes sitting in the driveway waiting to be picked up by the recycler. Almost all homes have these items, but new is more desirable...
