255/85/16..... I like the way it looks and rides mileage sucks no matter what.... the more narrow tire doesn’t follow grooves and ridges in the road as bad...

265 75 16 is gonna be your best bet. With no lift and the offset you're running 285s are gonna rub. 285s are like .8" wider than the 265. You can go a tall skinny which looks funny but may fit. 265s rubbed my uca on factory OR wheels, on pro wheels they'll work cause of the offset. Try to see if someone you know has 285 that you can bolt up. Only way you're gonna really know on these trucks what's gonna work

Great info thank you! Your truck looks great! That's what i was afraid of not looking to modify the truck in anyway.

I have both 255/85/16 KM2 for wheeling, and set of 285/70/17 c-load KO2 for the street. Best of both worlds. Get a wider/meatier look for the street and better fuel economy and power delivery (since I have a c-load). The 255 KM2 are E-Load and have been amazing for me offroad.

I only do serious wheeling where I need the KM2/e-load tires a handful of times per year so I just swap my rims myself, but I get that not everyone wants to deal with that.

It was the BF Goodrich K02. I actually ended up swapping to the C rated 285 Ridge Grapplers after I had a K02 get a bolt through the sidewall.

Please refrain from logical analysis and fact based advice. Meaningless dribble and unsubstantiated nonsense is much more amusing.

I'm in the same boat as you and only looking for a stock TRD Pro that's running 285/75/16 on the stock wheels for advice. I've heard the 1" lift from the fox set up helps and the 0 offset stock wheels will not rub on the TRD Pro. If you have this set up let us know if it's true. thanks!

I went with 285/70/17’s and they did rub. But an easy fix with a box cutter.

Well, I just ordered 285/75/16 Falken Wildpeak A/T3. They should arrive in couple days. If you haven't decided yet. I'll let you know if I rub or not.

I had some rubbing on the back of the wheel well. I had brand new mud flaps and their attachment point is where it was rubbing. I really don’t want to to the cab mount mod on a brand new truck and didn’t really want to take off the mud flaps either (it might have rubbed even with them off). I had my tire guy use a heat gun on the mud flaps and then it only rubbed slightly at about 3/4 lock on uneven ground. No rubbing at all on the control arm. I then got a 2 1/2 in lift (tuff country) because I thought it would look good and fix the rubbing too. The lift actually made the rubbing worse! It does look good though IMO. SO now I’m just living with the rub.

It doesn't rub even with the mud flaps on during city driving. I took those off and went wheeling and it rub slightly. I used the heat gun for now and will do some more off roading and check if it still rubs before I start cutting.
