So I will be getting a Tacoma and I already went to a few dealers, made em fight each other and squeezed the very best offer I can get from them.

I was looking for a new sr5 but I also found a great deal on a slightly used trd sport, 12k miles. After interest is taken into account both cars will cost nearly the same, would it be worth going for slightly used for the trd sport if that's the case?

I also have the option of a slighly used sr5 with 12k miles as well and final price with interest will be about 2.5k lower than a new one, but I could use that towards mods right? lol

Finally I am wondering if the entune premiun with nav is worth it, since they do have another vehicle similar to the new sr5 I looked at, missing the sliders but has the entune premium. I mostly use google maps, not sure if entune takes traffic into account and alternate routes like google maps, and any other important advantages over the regular entune?

    Thanks!

16 sport practically brand new for the price of sr5... which one had entune? Options the same? Either 4x4?

I looked at 2 sr5's, both are the same except that one has the entune premium and the other one doesn't but instead has some sliders included. Neither 4x4 as I don't really need it.

Yeah sport would be around the same price almost new..

Do you need to tow and do they have the package if so?

Is say it depends on how long you plan to keep the truck. If it is something you plan on having for many years, get new. Something for just a year, probably used I suppose

I had some similar considerations this week.

I have been driving a Nissan Frontier 4x4 the past 10+ years.

My goal was to get another truck that I'd get and keep for as long as I had the Nissan.

I test dove lots of trucks and even an SUV from everyone but Ford.

A new Tacoma SR5 (2017) was what I went with. Automatic, tow package, 4x4 were the main options. It meets all my needs and many of my wants for a daily driver that will get me safely in/out of hunting and fishing spots.

There were some late model used cars that I looked at as well. I went with a new vehicle, though (7 miles on the OD) because of the discounts I was able to get on it. Opening the door and the new car smell hit me and it was a done deal, lol.

My SR5's normally equipped interior is very much to my liking and offers all the stuff I needed & wanted.

Navigation is not needed, in my opinion due to the easy ability to do so via my iPhone.

I never use the navigation on the Entune.....I use WAZE via iPhone.....way better.
