69E6E3BF-E1D6-4D75-8464-5209FC83A01A.jpg Sorry if this is a redundant subject...On the fence.
Two set ups, deciding on what to keep or sell.
Lift is going on soon. 5100s on all corners w Deaver single add leaf 1.5-2” rears have been ordered.

My driving...Minimal off-roading aside from fire roads and shooting range excursions. Hoping to do more OHV driving and camping.

    #1 Bronze Method NV305 17x8.5s w 275/70 BFG KO2s Load E( I know 10ply is not a necessity and heavy but it was a Vilmont Deal)

#2 16” TRD Pro wheels with factory tires. If I sell the method setup...Use the money and upgrade the tires. But gain MPG, drivability.

*Lift is going on in a couple weeks.

What set up would you do? If I keep the Pros I will look for a beefier tire 265/75 BFG Load C or Toyo Open Country?

    thanks Tacomembers

The only wheel more overdone than methods are trd pro wheels. I’d do the methods.

Hmm... yeah they’re all overdone. The price was right that’s why.

Which ever I decide. The left over set will be on the selling block.
Is the MPG loss considerable or noticeable between 265/75s 16s and 275/70 17s?

I love Bronze wheels  But for the $$, I'd say keep the TRD wheels and get tires that make you happy. 10 ply would definitely be more tire than I would ever need on a Tacoma, and just cause they're on sale now, doesn't mean they will be when you need replacements...
All that being said, make the decision that's gonna put a smile on your face every time you look at it!

Thanks Guys! I appreciate the feedback! Looks like I’ll hang out and see what the current set up looks like w the 5100s installed. Then see what it looks like. I’ll post a picture once the installation is complete.

I agree. I just upgraded wheels and couldn’t bring myself to pull the trigger on bronze. But on the Cavalry trucks it looks sweet. The whole modern retro color scheme just works so well. I would keep the methods.

You should do 285/70/17. Much better look.

I have 285s Toyos on my 5gen 4runner and it does look a little more macho. I have a while till I run these 275s down for replacement. I was just worried about having to do the BMC. I can always swap wheels for a fitment test I guess.

I ran this set up at stock height but it rubbed all over the place on the inside where the BMC would be.
It does rub now after the lift while on trails and articulating but never on flat streets. Planning on UCAs and adjustments, perhaps OME springs to clear a little more without a BMC.
i’ll take better pics during the daytime.

thanks man i'm looking to go with a similar set up and i'm trying to decide if these wheels or a 17x9 with -13 offset instead of the ones you have but idk how it will affect rubbing(feel free to chime in anyone who knows)
