okay so i'm getting about $3000 back from my taxes. i'm throwing $1500 into savings and the rest could go to guns. i want a pistol and rifle.

i found a ported barrel and slide glock 22 or 23 at Bain& Davis for $500 and i have my heart set on that, i'll have another $1000 to spend on a rifle.

my dream rifle is the sr-25 (ar-10) but it's banned in CA. several gun shops and turners said they could get me one that is CA legal but i find that hard to believe. and it'll cost about $2500 ish

anyways, i'm debating on a colt m4 in .22lr for $400 (for practice) or a regular m4, cause shooting 5.56 into paper is just overkill and a waste of money IMO. and if i get a regular m4 i'll be required to have a bullet button. and then i'll have about $500 to put into savings. or should i use that $1000 to build a regular m4 despite CA laws.

    what do you guys think?
