I’ve had my 2018, Tacoma TRD Sport for around 3 months now.

Proud, first owner of the truck and I’ve, aside from my wife questioning my better judgement, started what I’ve found to be a huge following in modifying or, “modding”, my Tacoma. I got Inferno with matching interior. So far, I’ve only done a few small things; LED low lights, running boards, painted interior trim to color match the exterior, with much more planned.

All that said, I need some opinions on the color scheme on the interior trim. Ive seen several color matching jobs in other threads but I wanted to do something different. Ive tried to keep the theme of the two orange lines from the seat stitching but can’t decide if I like it or not. The black in the picture is PlastiDip over Inferno base coat and was solely to see how it looked. If I decide to do it, I’ll use black paint. I know I have a lot of touch up to do either way.

2 lines or inferno? Gloss or matte black? A63B181A-0A89-4B4C-A855-FDA521E2485F.jpg580BE8D1-AECC-48DD-BABA-0B0FF6CB0FC0.jpg

Well Grossomotto, that is certainly another option. I just hated that only the dash bezel had color and nothing else. It’s like Toyota didn’t finish the job.

    Thanks for the opinion!

My only hesitation with the 2 lines is that it will look to “ricey” or “bro!”. Sure as shit don’t want either

I like the solid inferno. Maybe I’m in the minority.

2 lines but why not vinyl overlay versus the derp?

I think that having it all that color is to much, just need the accent lines. Maybe try one line just off center

Elgatoloco, i just used plastidip to see how it would loook. If I decided to do it, I’d use black matte or gloss paint

That’s what I was thinking too. My intention is to accent the contour/lines in the piece

I’m into mostly stock interior, but paint it up, there’s a ton of custom interiors on here for ideas.

You’re right, I probably should’ve left it alone before I screw something up on a brand new truck. I just couldn’t get passed the dash bezel not matching the exterior. One thing lead to another...

My Driver side, the gun metal trim is rubbing off to black. Paint away, it won't stay pretty forever.
