i dont exactly understand that chris... i see the silencer i think and i really want it louder but i dont get how if it comes undone it would suck in unfiltered air

so i hear its good for power but is the idea of the cap that goes over the hole for like if you go offroading or when its raining?

if you use a cap, and it falls off...........the motor will suck air in thru the hole thats left. you can use tape instead of the cap, then put the silencer back on.....it'll still make it louder, like it would with just a cap, but the likelihood of the silencer falling out isnt big, since thats where it was before.

i dont think there is really a good place on the 08 4banger breather to mount a deckplate. the best results have been had with removing the secondary filter and installing a good drop in filter...such as the afe pro dry s.

yeah......i think there are maybe 2 tunes coming off the main tube.....just take them out and tape up the hole thats left...then replace the silencers.

its basically clamped on with a small screw clamp, or they type that you use pliers with.

NO. Its NOT a tube. In the link that I posted. Look at the air intake assembly. On the bottom of the intake tube (the big tube comming from the air box) you will see a smaller one, about 2" or so in diameter, going straight down, into a plastic object. Thats the one.

yep......will definitely lose some low end grunt with them. i like flowmaster and all....love the fourty series, but they are baffled, so they are just for sound only......they can make a hp loss.
