    getting there....
    you dont have to get a better filter,per say, but its a good idea too. im still running a stock paper filter now, have been for 10k miles, but i'll be getting an afe pro dry s filter soon.

    I drive 6 months out of the year in snow/freezing conditions so could the snow and constant freezing and unfreezing cause any damage to the airbox/engine if i do the deckplate mod?

Door buzzer silenced forever thank God, tinted windows, vent visors, hood protector(bug guard), ceramic pads and new rotors, dechromed EVERYTHING. 2" Lift front 3" rear. Skyjacker AAL's and replacement leafs(and front spacers) from Fatbobsgarage.com. Skyjacker 7000 Hydro rear shocks, those Bilstein 5100 fronts are coming soon!
    The colder the air, the better the combustion!!!! Feel lucky you are anywhere where it is cooler, Florida's air is so dense with humidity, and HOT, that I am suprised cars run at all here...LOL.....

    i think the j shaped thing is a water trap.. i filled it up a couple times it saved my butt once or twice..

    so i just loosen that clamp up and take it off. then tape it off and put the silencer back on, or leave untaped right?? Is there any risk that the tape will get sucked into the engine of it came loose?? thanks

    if you are gonna do it.......i'd use some good electrical tape, and make sure you use enough where it wont come loose.
