deck plate mod question

    Well I just did the deck plate mod about an hour ago and went with the 4" plate. Everything went well on the installation. I guess we will see how it performs when I head into town soon

    Well after the first ride I didn't notice a difference in sound but my exhaust is pretty loud and my tires do have a pretty good "hum" to them already but what I did notice was a better throttle response/acceleration in the areas the motor was lacking, prob due to the lift and tires. I do have the stock air filter, not sure if it's worth buying a better one, and I still have the silencers in because I just don't know what they are. So far i think it is worth it unless my mpg decreases. Would a better air filter make a difference?

    i just bought a new K&N today it was $67.99 i think it was worth it ,i like it alot i have not put my deck plate in yet but i already put the filter in and i can feel it a little .with the deckplate mod in dose your truck sound better now

    Well I already have a flowmaster and cut off my resignation so it's already loud. I don't know if it's in my head or not but some of the ricey tone is gone but I will have to ride a while to tell. If the intake makes noise now, if it does I can't hear it. I do have the silencer things still in place but I don't know what they are. I just hear people talk about them
