Send me my j-hook, dam it!! ;) And yes the other pasts were damn frustrating, nothing like having a storage system in the truck and no being able to use it.

Yeah those tapered bolts are a bit weird, and they are a bit grabby on the inserts. The inserts, are only screwed into the plastic from what i can tell with a fine thread, they wouldn't stay put on those two inserts. Anyways, I gave up, I don't care about water tightness on the decked system, it it under a canopy. The inserts also loosen when you tighten the screws. So you need to be able to hold it in place while tightening if ones loose. Pretty hard to do when it is a deck screw at the front of the bed.

Not sure why they kept the 2000lb load rating, but I can almost guarantee that the parts are interchangeable btw a lot of the units. I suspect most of the reasons for maintaining a lot of the parts is because it reduces manufacturing costs. This would also explain why the j-hooks I received were not for the tacoma, they even admitted they had short j-hooks. Mine stuck out about 2.0" from the ammo can, no deep socket is that deep in any standard tool kit. Just cut them to length.

If I was to do it all over again, I would probably build a system again. or get a goose gear one.
