So for some crazy reason @TheDECKEDGuy chose me to test out his bed storage system.

This will be the official thread for the eastern US, questions, answers, and pics.

I will post the link to @Overkill07 central thread as it becomes available. For the time being here is @MTNHABITOVERLAND link.

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/official-west-region-decked-for-tacoma.512815/#post-16145255

I wheel a lot if the southeast region, from windrock, choccolocco, AOP, stoney lonesome, black mountain etc. So if anyone would like to see this in person I'll keep the thread updated with my planned rides.

I also haul my bike to tracks ( mostly barber motorsports park) so if anyone else here is a track day nut you could also meet me there for some fun and speed. :bikewheelie:

I am going to be as thorough and detailed with my honest opinions and usage of this system as I can be and I look forward to answering your questions!

Again I'd like to thank @TheDECKEDGuy for this opportunity.

WHEN THEY SAY LEAVE IT LOOSE, AND DON'T OVERTIGHTEN THEY MEAN IT.

    Install!!!!!!
First crack open a cold one cause it's gonna take a little bit.

This was the beautiful sight after I got the pieces all laid out.
    20171011_161158.jpg
First step was marking the midline of the bed. 28.5" from the side above the wheel wells. I didn't have a wax pen like the instructions said so masking tape it was. (Don't skip this step, you'll need it as a reference to line up the middle vert)
    20171011_161745.jpg
The next step is installing the shims. 3" from the cabside with the small shim (lined up with the front of the channel), 6.5" from the tailgate side. The two big shims just go around the bolt heads on the can side. I cleaned the area with APC prior to sticking them down (they habe double sided tape on them).
    20171011_163048.jpg
Don't judge the bed dirtiness, it's been under a bed Matt!

The next step is to get a hole drilled for the rear side mounting brackets.
Unscrew the top t30 torx head from the big storage box and the bed outlet. Install the bracket loosely, Mark where the hole needs to go, move the bracket out of the way and drill baby drill.
    20171011_164125.jpg
    20171011_170223.jpg
Next we will attach the cabside vert to the main support brace via 4 screws. Alternate how you tighten the bolts down.
    20171011_170655.jpg
Next you want to get the cabside supports bolted in. Put them up against the cabside vert. Lay the ammo cans at the bottom to support the deck pieces. Then get those bolts in.
    20171011_171908.jpg
Next youre going to attach part of the front mounting bracket to the side support. Pretty simple. 3 bolts tighten down.
    20171011_172811.jpg
After that you attach the second part of the mounting bracket to the support. One bolt.
    20171011_173335.jpg
(The second part of the bracket is backwards from how it'll actually be on the truck in this picture)

Next you'll set up your masterpiece in the bed and get it aligned with the center line you taped up.
Then you'll get the mounting brackets flush with the wheel well and drill out the three designated holes on each side.
    20171011_174542.jpg
Then using three bolts you'll attach it via the mounting bracket on the underside of the well.
    20171011_175148.jpg
Next you are going to install the channel guides in on both sides. Using a bolt and nut on the ammo cans (which you add in during this step) and just 2 bolts on the cabside support.
    20171011_180410.jpg 20171011_180924.jpg
Next, you will be installing the top pieces. The 12 bolts that go into the ammo cans and side supports will need o rings. The 5 that go into the center support will not. I had to take mine back out, as the bed pieces did not clear my LED bed lights. Super simple to trim, took me less than a minute per side with a all-in-one. :sawzall:
    20171011_181143.jpg
    20171011_181444.jpg 20171011_181619.jpg
It may look as if it's touching here but it's just barely not.20171011_182955.jpg
Next will be the J hooks that hold the rear side in place. Easiest way I found to install was to push the hooks through the ammo can and around the mounting hooks you installed in the rear earlier.
    20171011_183647.jpg 20171011_183652.jpg
Next step is to assemble the drawers with the mounting brackets, torsion bars, and wheels. Sorry this picture was taken prior to the wheels being installed. Just know you do that too.
    20171011_185349.jpg
Next thing you'll need to do is slide the drawers in and get the other two wheels for each side in place. The frontier drawer wheels are no big deal. Pin the drawer to the top with a 2x4. The barrow drawer wheels are a little more tricky, but not bad. (The drawers have to be slid into there spot to get the other two wheels on, this can not be dome with the drawers out of their slides)
    20171011_203300.jpg
After many many cuss words and attempts from me, and then the relative ease my brother did it with, the drawers were done.
Next steps are simple, I neglected to take good pictures of these steps but you will take the silver top piece and screw it in with three supplied screws, install the torsion bar with the two center bolts and two side bolts (my system didn't have the side bolt holes so I just screwed two of my own screw into the place, part of being a beta tester! If you order one yours won't come like that), popping the two ammo can lids in,and installing the end piece with my favorite addition the bottle opener!!
    And whala shes done.
    20171011_221043.jpg 20171011_221120.jpg

The install took around 3-4 hours. Moving at a steady pace, no beer or food breaks.
