Hi, first time posting here. I’m looking around to get a 21’ Tacoma and plan to set it up for camping. I was going to do a DCLB with a leer 180 + decked system. I was wondering if anyone here has the decked system along with the Tacoma bed lighting. I see on the decked website that you have to cut the system a bit to fit around the bed lighting. That’s not a huge problem to me but I was wondering how well the lighting will work being so close to the top of the platform? If anyone has any experience with this it would be greatly appreciated. Pictures would be even better! I basically just don’t want to waste money on the lights and then have to cut the plastic on the decked if it’s not worth it.

Hey! Thanks for reaching out. Our DECKED system is 12" tall so it really depends on where those lights are mounted. You shouldn't have to cut anything on the DECKED system to fit the new Tacoma but if you are adding custom lighting it may be required. Our support team will have more detail on how that fitment works and if you have additional questions they will be happy to help walk through that. Email them at orders@decked.com for additional info.

Ok thanks for the response, so on the decked site where it talks about cutting the platform to fit around bed lighting it’s not talking about OEM bed lighting?

Hey! Sorry for the confusion here. I am not 100% sure where it says that on our site. Could you send a link or a screenshot of what you are seeing? You should not need to cut anything on your DECKED system to fit your 2021 Tacoma with bed lights but the system does NOT fit the 2021 Trail Special Edition with the driver's side insulated storage in the truck bed. I may be missing something on the lighting here but once I see what you are referring to I can ask my team to be sure you get the correct answer.
    Thanks!

Got it! Ok those lights can vary in placement and size but if you are getting it as an OEM add on you should still have most of the light above the DECKED system and still be able to use them without any issue. If you do need to trim the system at all it should just be the corner edge. Let me know if you have additional quesitons.

Those are OEM from 2016-2017. '20/21 bed lights are flush with the bed and aren't even standard. You may not get them at all[IMG]

Ok, that helps a lot. Yeah that was kind of the reasoning for posting this. I’m looking around for trucks now and I’m just trying to figure out if the lights are an option I’d rather have or not. Thanks a lot for the info and the picture.
