Decked Second and Third Gen Tacomas, crossed

OK...I can get a pretty good deal on a Decked system, however it's for a third gen...and I have a second. I can't get a straight answer from anyone...even on here when I searched I see yes, then no.

Has ANYONE done this. Like literally crossed these generations and put in a Decked system with what I'm describing. Even Decked won't give me a straight answer. So I want real world experience.

 

I know this isn’t a definitive yes or no however I used to make MOLLE panels for 2nd and 3rd gen short beds.

I 3d scanned both generations (inside the bed of a 2014 and 2017) and found them to be the same for my MOLLE panels. They went along the bed sides and front of the bed.
I unfortunately no longer have the scan data for the 2017.

this doesn’t mean that the decked system fits both generations as they might have some specific features I wasn’t looking for but I can’t see why they wouldn’t be interchangeable.
