Not new to site, been reading for the past eight years I have owned my 2003 TRD Ext. Cab. Finally took time to generate a member ID. So.FloridaTaco. Looking to add a Decked System or similar in my 6 foot bed. Any suggestions of products on the market?

    4 run, 2 don't
Most likely not, due to the age of 1st Gen Tacoma's.

There are however a ton of DIY pictures posted everywhere.

One guy made a lightweight setup out of PVC tubing, others with 2x4 and plywood...though that might run you a fortune due to the cost of wood now :bananadead:

There was a guy in one of the Facebook groups I'm in that got it to work. Said he ended up with some space on each side (about an inch or so) and at the front of the bed. So not an exact fit but not bad either:

I built my own. Currently selling my first version but it’s build for a short bed. Could be modified and extended. You will need to diy or go custom if you want a proper fit. I went back and forth with DECKED to see what could be done. Unfortunately, they don’t make one for 1st gens.

Yea did he say what vehicle it was for? I know their base components for the 6ft bed and narrow trucks (canyon, colorado, frontier, ranger, tacoma) are all the same, but the edge pieces/tops are different to match each bed.

Not a decked system, but I just added a Bedslide. Is a good alternative to saving vertical space. If you have a camper or overland cage system, it makes it easier to load and unload. They're a little pricey so used market would be ideal.
