I'm looking for traction surface options for the top of my Decked. I know the company makes an marine eva foam for $500 and a bed mat can be had for much less. But has anyone applied a bed liner product to the decked plastic?

how well does marine eva hold up? I may buy some off Amazon but can it take a beating?

the bed mat is another $80-100# I don't want to add on. Can thinner rubber be glued on?

I do not have a cap, my bed is open, so it needs to hold up in weather.

Plastic to plastic really doesn't stick well unless one is heated to almost liquid.

I'm only giving you the cliff notes version. There are lots of different plastics and they all react differently.

Great question. I'm in to hear other responses .

You just want a grip/traction surface that won't slip? What about this:

Interested as well. Looking for something that will keep things from sliding without ruining the aesthetics of my rear seat delete . Anybody with goose gear address stuff sliding around or is that why I should have bought the goose gear?

I’ve been looking for a rubber mat in the right size (to trim down) that’s heavy enough to lay flat on its own and not slip (like the OEM bed mat). If anyone has recommendations from experience, all ears

I use a couple of these with some small selftaping screws with flat round heads to hold it down.

When I got my Decked, I simply cut my OEM bed mat shorter and it fits and works great. Since the Decked doesn’t go all the way to the tailgate, the OEM may hung over a bit before I trimmed it.

I bought a 5 foot bed mat that already had cut outs for bed stiffeners and put it in the top of my decked drawers for my 6 foot bed. Cutting the sides was required so I can have access to the side compartments. I put a screw going through the bed mat into the top of the decked drawers to stop the mat from sliding. And if you’re wondering, I only paid $40 for the 5 ft bed mat.

If you don’t mind adding more dead weight, then the battle mat or similar thick rubber that will lay still on the highway seems the way to go. It can be cut to fit between the core-trax.

Otherwise, I've put rubber feet on some of the things tote around - specifically plastic bins when I take the fam camping - that keep stuff from sliding around. Similarly, I keep a small roll of TPU membrane handy to throw down as a mat as needed.

while there are chemicals that inhibit adhesion to HDPU, I decided to scrap any (semi)permanent application of rubber to the Decked, so that I could shove heavier items around without pulling up or snagging a thinner applied rubber. Plus the surface pattern doesn't really allow for full surface contact.
