The light was still on this afternoon when I started the truck, but I took the negative terminal off the battery for a few minutes and that got the light to turn off. Thank you all for the help!!!! I was worried that I messed something up big time...

I didn't take the entire intake off, only the air box (sorry if I miss worded). And I did not use spray paint. I dipped the screw heads into rustoleum before screwing them into the deck plate just to add something a little different. But I let them dry at least 16+ hours before putting it in the truck (one of reasons for taking 2 days).

    To OP..

as mentioned, it could just be a coincidence that your light popped on. you should know that by unplugging your battery terminal, that may or may not have cured your problem. for example, say you have a faulty O2 senor(bigger issue). by unplugging your batt. terminals, all you are doing is gettin rid of that light temporarily an WILL come back on. if it was something minor, this most likely fixed the issue you were having. but if there is an actual BIGGER problem, your light WAS on for a reason, and you can expect it to come back on.

    good luck. hope that helped.

Thank you very much for the information Mike, I will keep an eye on the light as much as possible to make sure nothing is wrong.
