    In some states it's actually illegal for rates to be increased because of claims.

    Replace with plate bumper and yep no more hard to fix scratches problem solved :D

    My wife hit a pole at a gas station here in CA and it was about 2,600 to fix. I have not made claim with USAA in 11 years, guess what my shit went up 10% for 3 years. i called them and was like WTF I have paid over 40K in the past 11 years and you cant cover a 2,600 dollar claim? He said accident forgivness is not available in CA, what a bunch of shit. so at the end of the day (3) years I will pay that 2600 back to them over 36 months.

    You are the exception. Most insurance companies will raise your rate after just a couple claims.

    Just talk to the dealer! I read somewhere that some dealers were repairing people's Toyotas for little to no cost due to the hurricane. It never hurts to ask. The worst they'll say is "no."
