Deep sump auto trans pan for 2016-19 CD AC60F

As a Automotive mechanic and shop teacher for the past 51 yrs I understand the benefits of increased oil capacity in engine and auto transmission sumps. I have contacted Mag Hytec and B&M transmission with no luck having them produce a deep sump transmission pan for the 3rd Gen Tacoma. The only company which might produce it is yourcovers.com. If there is any interest in deep sump trans pan then I would advise contacting Valarie Gasio at yourcovers.com and make a request for development and offering for sale. If there is enough interest in this item then it will happen, but, the interest has to be there. I was able to help initiate a deep pan for the 2016-19 Chevrolet Colorado Diesel and it is now being offered for sale. The benefits of having more ATF on board is a win win for any automatic transmission. Please be advised that there is nothing in this project for me except to purchase a deep sump pan for my Taco which would help tremendously when I decide to do some towing.

My mistake, the correct url is yourcovers.com. Address your request to Valarie Gasio, hopefully if there is enough interest they will consider manufacturing a deep sump auto transmission pan for the 3rd Gen Tacoma. Definitely would help with CRAWL and towing.

 

Just for reference, V6 auto trans fluid capacities as per the owners manual:

Vehicles without towing package: 10.5 qt. (9.9 L, 8.7 Imp.qt.)
Vehicles with towing package: 10.7 qt. (10.1 L, 8.9 Imp.qt.)

 

Imagine the benefits of approximately 3 extra qts of ATF capacity in the pan? Manufacturered from aluminum to help dissipate heat.

 

Hopefully it would stop the rash of blown transmissions that everyone is experiencing due to a lack of lubrication....oh wait...Nevermind ;-)

He was being sarcastic....there is no blown transmission issue. They are quirky but stout transmissions.

 

Once a transmission decides to go thermo-nuclear because of the nut behind the wheel 3 qts won't matter.

Plus mines under warranty for a couple of years. I'm sure someone will chime in about some warranty act, which is often misquoted

I don't really want to decrease clearance. I would think such a pan would do this.

 

Those larger pans look good and it can help to have extra capacity and cooling, but they’re expensive.
Instead of installing a new pan for the extra capacity and small amount of additional cooling, one can easily purchase a BATFC, or big ass transmission fluid cooler and save approximately $350.00 to $400.00. This is also an easy project for most.
