You do some crazy things when you're drunk. Lol. Who knows. That would probably be my shit after if I crashed my friend's nice truck.

Glad it turned out okay for you, OP.

Glad to hear a deer was actually involved. Sounds like you and your buddy will have things worked out. Lessons learned...be more specific when leaving car at buddies house and saying 'just warm it up'. Nice to hear its all coming out for the better.

Good news. The claim had to go under my insurance, as expected. My deductible was only $50 and the work will be done this week. Nationwide is going to pay the shop direct and I get a rental car for two days up to $80 in value. They assured me my rates will not be impacted.

Overall it looks like it is going to be pretty painless. My buddy already sent me $200 to cover the deductible as well as pain and suffering. So by the end of the week I'll have my truck back good as new and some cash in my pocket.

Thanks for all the help guys!

That's good news! Nationwide is my insurance company too. Animal strikes are considered "no fault" and don't affect your rates. After all I think the insurance would rather pay for the damage caused by the animal versus the damage that could result from trying to avoid it...like swerving, leaving the roadway, and rolling!
