    We all have lifetime in N.C. so no cost there. I'm the only one who's bought them in Va. this year since we're license exempt on our own land. $51 is all I had to pay.

    Only reason I bought mine was because we went to the friends place in the next county last week to let the kids shoot :thumbsup:

    We have tags, we don't have to pay for them separate from the license. Since we had lifetime in N.C. before we moved all I have to do is login online and get tags sent to us. Hopefully we can get lifetime in Va. sometime soon so it'll save us money in the long run.

    I'm guessing you have to buy a permit?

    I don't know is why I'm asking, N.C. doesn't have the out of state hunters coming in like Illinois does.

    If you own 40 or more acres you can get free landowners permits 2 for archery and 2 for gun and I’m assuming 2 for muzzleloader. All other deer permits need to be purchased.

    Mine situations were worse, I'd either be in the process of climbing down the tree with my rifle on the ground and then the big buck would just waltz right past me without a care in the world. Or I'd spook him walking into my stand in the early afternoon. I had too many of these happen, just plain bad luck. But I finally did kill me a decent NC 10 pointer. But I miss the quiet and solitude of deer hunting and just sitting in a climbing stand 20-25 ft off the ground and just watching the wildlife wandering around not knowing your sitting there.
