Well I'm not the sharpest crayon in the box, but that don't look like no Florida deer to me. More like a Black Tail or. Mule deer. So you have to give us some more information, because it's required here on TW. What is that a 24 point TW score.

That's PDKtaco's mule deer - looks like he resides in Montana! I saw his post on a different thread and invited him over.

Alright here’s the story! I’d been watching this Mule and his buddy off and on for a couple weeks. My hunting buddy came to town and asked where we going? Picked him up about 6AM got to the top of the hills in the back ground just at daylight, and got busted they ran off towards some ass hats from Wisconsin that had no clue how to hunt this area  Got up the next day about 45 minutes earlier crawled to the edge of the coulee, sure enough just before sunrise they came in from about 1500 yds to about 250 at the bottom of the coulee! We dropped em both and tagged em.
    IMG_5903.jpg
We drove around about 10 miles to get to the other side of the coulee got yelled at by the ass hats from Wisconsin for hunting in “their” area (I’ve been hunting this area for 40 years)
Time to put the new Taco to the test?! Prairie and grain fields on top is the norm, but to get through the coulees you normally need a horse or an ATV. Badlands with soft crumbly clumpy dirt hills mixed with sandstone, boulders, gravel, sand and washouts. Some of this shit (glacial til) gets so sticky when it’s wet you can’t even walk through it. Thankfully most of it was dry or frozen. At the bottom I followed an ATV trail through 4-6 ft high sagebrush, tall grass, boulders, and several deep wash outs. Just put the Sliders on a few weeks earlier and they paid for themselves! My buddy had the spot me a couple times, glad I have the kick outs! They pushed the rear end over just enough to clear more than one obstacle. Here’s UnderGround with Sagebrush pinstripes  IMG_5746.jpg IMG_5747.jpg ARK mud flaps survived as well. Tail pipe took a few hits (Axel dump now) Hitch took most of the abuse and was unfazed.
My 13 Tundra would NOT have stood a chance! My last mid size was an 86 Toyota 4x4, yeah I regret selling it! Sure is nice to be back in something smaller, and damn these Tacoma’s are impressive when things get dicey!
