A big boy came by the other day. Might have to put in some extra hours to get rid of more of these.

I dunno bout that. Prob about timing and being in the right place at right time.

Just seems like here theres high pressure on the deer. It would be nice to see deer everytime i go out but thats not usually the case. Theres clearly not same amount of deer as other places ive been. but there are still quite a few in my opinion.

Maryland was the highest concentration. Not a ton of bucks but still a lot of does

my post was in jest about folks not thinking taking a yote while deer hunting is a good idea

there's been a ton of pressure on my land too. hell even the hogs are more skittish and I think thats because they've fired the duck hunting area back up on the outfitters land on the other side of my fence. I could underhand a rock into those ponds from the south side of my property.. It just means that ive got to spend more time and be more patient. This was the first year that I literally only saw a couple of deer. Usually I can be picky on what I want to take, but those days may be gone until the deer are used to the duck hunters

Im going to try to make it up to northeast PA this season. Ive never seen such a high concentration of deer like ive seen there. My wife's uncle lives up there and has been hustling me to come up and hunt with him. Only downside is he won't allow archery on his land which sucks, but im a worse bow hunter than rifle hunter so its probably for the best

The other spot im going to try to check out is Kentucky. Might skip the western hunt this year to go up there and hunt some whitetail

Why no archery? Usually its opposite. Southern maryland had some counties was unlimited Doe! I havent looked in a while but they are over run with deer.
