Whelp my whole hunting group including myself scored 0 tags this year in the draw, not even a cow tag. My dad has 27 points and my other buddy has 30 points and zilch. Cannot wait to leave this shitty state one day.

 

Group as in group of friends or group as in you all apply as a party? Because applying as a party is always harder.

I’m also assuming California or Washington since their draws just wrapped up. If that’s the case, California has point creep so bad, no one is getting an elk tag for another 20 years. Even max points is a major lottery.

Washington idk. I actually have a non res western Washington general elk tag, but didn’t draw. Probably not going to go because I have other tags that overlap and Washington kind of has shitty quality herds numbers. I would say imo, but, it’s also the opinion of their own biologist too.

 

We all apply separately, and yeah Washington. West side has pretty decent general season bull tags but if you want to kill a giant on the east side it will take a lifetime to maybe get 1 or 2 chances if you’re lucky.

I drew back in 2020 with 19 points my bull tag but have 24 quality deer points and still cannot draw literally drives me crazy, because once I draw my buck tag I’m never giving this state another red cent. Especially since they just raised license and tag prices 38% starting next year. But such is life I guess time to start hunting whitetails in Idaho more.

 

Ol’ club foot is back, his third year. Very interesting rack this year lol.
