also stepdaughter hit a small button buck coming home from work last night. It didnt mess up her car too much but it was knocked out when we got to it, I think she ran over top of it. But i didnt want to risk it being injured internally and I dispatched it.

Helped my dad kill his first deer this morning. Special moment to share together. He shot this good size doe at 713 this morning. Made a great shot and only 20 yard tracking job.

Went back out for the evening hunt. This guy came barreling through the brush on the other side of the property line. Waited till he jumped the fence and dropped the hammer before he could make it into the brush on our side. You can see the property line fence to the right in the pictures. He isn't the one I was after but still happy to have taken him.

well, all the costs incurred, traveling back and forth, i got a nice doe, and that's it. fuel, food, tolls etc. from bow to gun season, id have to say several hundred dollars. the time spent in the stand rather than work? priceless, all in all a great year, learned a shit ton on the new property, saw many fantastic deer. took 1 shot, got one deer, there will be better results next year!! :hattip:
