    There was some accumulation of frozen precipitation in my seat this mornin and a little on the floor... Also the wind was blowing like 10 mph straight out of the north so i called it quits about 8. Gonna sit in a house this afternoon if i go.
    (mostly sleet with a touch of snow)

    My archery season ends on Saturday.
    I wanted to get out for the last hurrah, but they're calling for a possible Nor'Easter coming up the coast. I'll play it by ear.
    Went out last Saturday and saw the does and skippers. They're herded up now. 13 I saw.
    One broke off and came within 65 yards, but that was it.

    Had 4 does come out and eat about a half hour before dark and my daughter wanted to pop one... The full size .243 is just a bit too much for her to hang on to but i think she may be hooked now

    I just showed my wife that... She slept most of the hunt but she perked uo when the deer started coming out

    I’ve never had luck when I tried that years ago. If I had time I’d skin them,usually didn’t. Then just wrapped an old feed back around it leaving the antlers out. Flies and maggots did it all and just did a wash and bleach afterwards with hair bleaching peroxide
