It was a good size doe. Haven’t had a good one in a couple years. They’ve all been younger. I shoot them instead of whitetail.487B795C-E16C-4B63-822D-217EF6DA0FAD.jpg

Took my bow out this evening. Can still shoot a doe with a bow on private property until Sunday. I sat in a buddy’s barn watching a field and a garden. I had a window to the left, and a big door to the right. I walked to the door to check the field, turned and walked back and there was a doe standing 5 yards from me staring at me. So of course she spooked

We have till feb 10th here but it's hard to motivate myself to get out there. Weather is crap seems like every second of daylight im not at work, doe days are over, my next buck has to have at least 4 on 1 side (by law but ideally they all would anyway, i just got a little trigger happy this year) and i already have 2.5 deer in the freezer

Some years back, a skipper got hit in front of my friend's house. broke her neck.
It was July, and I think she weighed no more than 40 pounds.
    The backstraps were pink...and tender.

where i am trying to hunt, is open till the end of the year (bow) with unlimited doe's, but as i type this, i was going to go today, but disinterested due to 16-20 mph winds,23 feet in the air,and feels like, 17 degrees. :angrygirl:
