Yep. 10 does. Can kill a doe any day of the season with a bow on private land. 5 weeks of bow season (either sex), 1 week muzzleloader (either sex), then rifle from oct 20-Jan 10. Usually 2-3 doe days a month with rifle, which is usually the last weekend in the month. I think it’s too many does. But, whatever

Id look at the Crossfire II 2-7x32 seems like it would be a good fit.

    http://www.vortexoptics.com/product/crossfire-II-2-7x32-with-dead-hold-bdc-moa-reticle

If you want to jump up in quality some the strike eagle 1-6x24 would be a great choice as well.

    http://www.vortexoptics.com/product/vortex-strike-eagle-1-6x24-riflescope-ar-bdc-reticle

I have one of these on the way and can let you know what i think after i get a chance to take it out.

Small. The majority of deer around here are pretty small, weight-wise. I don’t ever weigh them because I don’t really care, but I’d say a good doe would go 90 lbs

What county are you hunting in?
I have no restrictions during general season at my lease. 5 tags per season, any mix with a 2 buck max.

Ahh. Closer to Houston. Are your limits a county restriction or are you under a separate management system?

oops, I stand corrected, in the region of murrilin that I hunt, we are allowed 15 does with a bow, 10 with muzzleloader,10 with firearm (shotgun/rifle) and still 3 bucks total. the doe bag limits have changed from last year. I was just informed of these changes. so any earlier bravado, has been rescinded, and a heartfelt apology on my part, as it is obvious I am a fisherman, therefore, I am a liar.

What kind of summer sausage do you guy make out of your venison? I like the regular smoked. But someone was saying they like salami better and that it had peppercorns? Maybe they were thinking of a bologna?
