I also do not like carrying stuff in and out of the woods ,so everything gets locked up to the tree . I took 2 of the sticks off the tree and hid them nearby the stand so no one see’s them or can climb in my stand .

The Lonewolf sticks are great because they are so small and light . I also have Summit Swift Sticks but they stay locked to the tree because they are bulky .

I leave my setups up all season just so I don’t have to pack shit in and out all the time. I currently have about 16-18 setups. When I was still using the screw in steps I would use cordless drill to pre-drill holes as I went up the tree, now I look back and realize how dangerous and stupid that really was. I’m 59 and always looking for easier and simpler ways to do things.

Hanging stand is always a chore. I have a few lock on's with climbing sticks that stay up year round, just take the seats off and loosen the straps every year. I like buddy stands more though, easy to put up and move around the farm with a truck. Just got a summit vine, looks and seems really comfortable. Just need to get it in a tree!

Yep, two person stand. Very rarely (if ever) do two people hunt in them. I just like having all the extra room for my backpack and whatnot. I've only ever used the one that wally world sells, so this summit will be a huge upgrade.

Took the last two days off from work and spent them pushing through brush and scrub trying to spook a deer out for my hunting buddy. He's supporting two kids and a wife on a single income so it's more important that he fill his tag than if I fill mine, so I volunteered to do all of the walking while he stood. Flushed 3 deer to 3 different members of our hunting party (there were 5 of us on Monday and 4 of us yesterday) and they all missed, so yesterday at 3:30 (after the 3rd miss) I said 'screw you guys, I'm going home' I bet I put 20 miles on, and nothing to show for it, so I'm probably going to spend the rest of the season hunting solo, and if I fill my tag I'll just give my buddy some meat instead.

Send him my way; I promise to shoot straighter than my hunting companions.

I wonder what it would cost to ship a live Black tail deer from Northern California to Maine

Probably a lot, once we figured the various government fines into the equation.

Deer season is starting to get good. The rut has started here in southern WV and the big boys are starting to move. Problem is I killed a buck last week and we are only allowed 1 antlered deer during archery season. I still run my cameras and keep an eye on what's coming through. I'm going to try to kill a bear and a wild hog before rifle season comes in a few weeks from now.
