haha. i think ALL moms do. (you must not be good hunter, you must not be at a good place, you must not know how too hunt. why do you go if you can’t get anything) lol. i hear all those and more. i all ways say it’s called HUNTING not SHOOTING or killing.

wait what intill last year you could not hunt on sundays? like the some of states/counties not allowing you to buy beer on sundays. first time i ever went deer hunting was a juvenile hunt and it was Saturday and sunday i was 12.

nope. wish i did. i pay around 35 a year for sportsman's. i cant justify spending 500 on a license, even though it would probably pay for itself in the long run. im liable wake up one day and decide to quit hunting. i strongly doubt it, but still. 500 bones is alot for a piece of paper.

I was stuck at work all day, but my dad text me and said he killed a 5 point today. Had a 4 and a 5 point come in running does. Seems like they're starting early this year. Cooler weather must be workin on em.

He always gives away the meat to some old ladies around town, besides the tenderloin. :woot: for deer jerkey!

yeah in TN. if you are 2 or under it’s $200. from their it goes up. they have age groups set. and when mom and dad got mine. it was $600. but when you think about it, i probably have all ready almost paid for it. dad gets all his stuff every year and it’s like $75 i think. big game/small game/ combination hunt fish, muzzleloader. plus no mater what if i move out of state i can come back and hunt in TN and i already have everything i need. i have had it like 8 years now, and if i spent $75 every year i would pay for it already. so i can pretty much hunt for free now. if and when i have kids i’ll get it for them for their 1st birthday. that way it’s only like $200 and they have it if they want it and if not i did not waste that much money on it.

Nah a place here in Barnwell county I don't like it because there's just too much pressure on the place. Supposedly there's a big 8 point roaming around so I thought I'd try my hand there and I don't have the gas to get to the farm for another few day's.
Lifetime combination with the saltwater add on. I got that instead of a truck for my 16th birthday. Pay $100 every year for a GA hunting, fresh and salt water license.
We love the cold weather around here. Get's em moving.

It's a little guy, but it was his first one of the year. The first one is meat in the freezer. Now he can go after horns.

Yea, I love the colder weather. It's cooler sooner this year than it was last year.

Thanks man. I hunt mostly in Mitchell County where I live. I've got a couple small tracts of private land I can hunt, but I hunt game lands a lot during bow season. Where abouts do you hunt?

I lost my dad when I was young and he was the deer hunter in my family. I got to go for the first time with my uncle last year (at age 19), didn't get a shot

I get to try for a week around thanksgiving in Northern Louisiana, I'll be posting pictures if I get anything

Once I manage to get a deer with someone who is experienced and can teach me, its gonna be all down hill from there. My family owns about 50 acres that I know we have deer on (and turkey and squirrel). I'll be out every chance I get once I get my first though
